The best thing about living in Atlanta is that there is so much room for creativity. Almost every place you go is a potential backdrop for a great photoshoot. I’m pretty lucky that I live near historic Briarcliff area and the scenes around me are creative goldmines. Here’s a shoot at an abandoned mansion in Briarcliff:

I know some of you have been waiting on this post for some time now, and sadly I’ve been preoccupied with a million other things. =( The constant problem with Photoshop crashing on me doesn’t help with progress either! Can you imagine editing so many and losing all the edits you’ve made? I guess having 35,000+ pictures on my computer wasn’t a good idea in the first place! I’ve since moved it all to an external HD so crashing should no longer be an issue…=D I also have a more detailed, more inspirational bridal shoot in late April. That, I hope, will be published in a magazine!

Location: Little Creek Horse Farm, Cator Woolford Garden (Beautiful Venue!)
Flowers: My Valentine’s present from my Fiance I wanted to use before it completely wilted!
Thanks to Bob Ellis for letting us use the horse!
Fashion Friday | Carly B&W
Shooting Carly was one of my most productive day shooting. Seriously, it was hard deciding which ones to pick for post processing. She’s only 17 (I shot her when she was 16) and she has so much potential as a model and a sweet personality to boot. She takes direction very well and I hope she gets signed to an agency soon! Thanks to Patrice for doing the hair, she did a fabulous job and I can’t be happier with the results.

Wednesday-Wedding | Pick the Dress Part I

Dresses, how important they are to a girl? Let me say this so everyone can understand: it’s MUY IMPORTANTE!
According to my future hubbie, one of the last things I should do is look for the dress. But guess what? That’s the FIRST thing I thought about when I knew we were getting hitched; well, that–AND the florals. True story…
I didn’t care much about the venue, the catering, and I forgot what else that is of equal importance and urgency to worry about. I was consumed with finding “THE Dress.” I’m sure if he knows this, he would be shaking his head in utter disappointment. Poor guy…
During my initial search, I fell in love with the Vera Wang Diana. I felt it was PERFECT: it was made of silk (LOVE silk) and would’ve definitely looked good on a skinny girl like me. The only problem? It had a $6k+ price tag and if I got it from another bride selling it, it would still be over $4k. We just booked the venue already in North Georgia and I’m having buyer’s guilt from that because it IS kinda far for our guests. I don’t want to be broke because of a dress I’ll be wearing once in a lifetime. I’m sure I can’t pass it down either; the likelihood of my future daughter having a 23 waist size is SLIM. No pun intended. Sadly, the search continued…

Here’s a more economical version from David’s Bridal called Signature Galina Style SWG354 (costs from $700-1500 New or Preowned) if anyone’s interested. Ironically, Vera Wang is designing a line for David’s Bridal. I think it’ll be launching soon!

P.S. I have no idea who the photographers are, and I didn’t take these photographs.
Let me know if you do!
First Dress: ‘Grace’ by Monique Lhullier ~$7k
Second Dress: ‘Diana’ by Vera Wang ~$6k
